Chris Reef is an Operating Partner of InTandem Capital. Chris has served as CEO, Executive Chairman, and Advisor for more than 20 years. As a previous business founder and CEO that was acquired by InTandem’s predecessor (Prodigy Health Group), Chris has unique experience in the partnership, scale and speed InTandem brings to accelerate portfolio companies. Chris brings a rare level of focus and passion to energize cultures and enjoys partnering with leadership teams to identify new and creative avenues for growth. Chris’ talent for driving a deep culture, with abundant communication and scale for expansion, has been the recipe for repeated, astonishing growth. Chris works with CEOs, serves as interim CEO and COO, assimilates acquisitions, builds platforms, and drives portfolio evolution to ensure investment success.
Chris was previously Executive Chairman of Sunbelt Transformer and Dimex Corp both private equity backed companies that doubled organically and successfully sold. Prior to serving as Executive Chairman, Chris was an investor and advisor to Covenant Surgical Partners a multi-specialty/multi-site ambulatory surgery center rollup. Earlier in his career, Chris was founder and CEO of US Healthcare Holdings (1999) a healthcare back-office services company assisting large self-funded insurers and commercial/Medicare health plans. USHH was acquired by Prodigy Health Group, Inc. in 2008. Chris also started a wellness company (Welcare) to drive onsite wellness initiatives. He integrated three Prodigy divisions and assisted in multiple acquisitions until acquired in 2011 by Aetna Inc. Prior to USHH, Chris worked in healthcare consulting and commercial healthcare banking.
Chris earned his undergraduate degree in Economics Management and Accounting from Ohio Wesleyan and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
