Vivo Infusion, a nationally recognized provider of accessible and affordable ambulatory infusion services, announced today the appointment of Stephan Rodgers as the company’s Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Steve will work closely with Chris Reef, Vivo’s outgoing CEO and newly appointed Executive Chairman, to transition leadership responsibilities and continue to build Vivo into the market leader in ambulatory infusion services and trusted partner to patients, referring physicians, pharma sponsors, health systems, employers, and payors.
Steve most recently comes from AccentCare, a national leader in home health services, personal care services and hospice care. Under Steve’s leadership for nearly 12 years, AccentCare emerged as a market leader, grew from 60 locations across seven states to over 250 locations across 29 states, serving more than 60,000 patients daily. Steve developed strategic relationships with health systems across the country including Baylor Scott & White, Memorial Hermann and UCLA Health, among others. Earlier in his career, Steve spent 13 years at UnitedHealth Group, departing as CEO of OptumHealth Collaborative Care (predecessor to OptumCare). Having started his professional career as a clinician, Steve has spent the past 30 years dedicated to excellence in patient care and shares the same patient-centric mission upon which Vivo has been built. Steve brings unparalleled healthcare expertise that will propel Vivo on its path as an industry leader in ambulatory infusion services.
Conveying his enthusiasm about joining Vivo Infusion, Steve stated, “The ambulatory infusion sector is among the most dynamic in all of healthcare today and Vivo stands apart from the crowd. I am excited and honored to join Vivo Infusion and look forward to leading the company on its continued impressive trajectory.” Steve further added, “I have dedicated my career to enhancing the lives of patients and improving the country’s healthcare system and Vivo exemplifies those values in everything it does.”
Steve replaces Chris Reef as CEO of Vivo Infusion, a transition that was envisaged and carefully planned since the founding of Vivo Infusion in 2022. Vivo Infusion Executive Chairman, Chris Reef, added, “Steve is the type of executive we always had in mind to lead Vivo during this next chapter. His passion for quality patient care, dedication to excellence in patient experience and wealth of knowledge across Vivo’s various constituents made him an obvious and exciting choice to lead the Company. Steve believes what we at Vivo believe — if we take great care of our people, they will take great care of our patients.”
Vivo Infusion’s employees, partners, patients and investors thank Chris for his remarkable passion, dedication, and inspiring leadership during his time as CEO.
